Chartered in 1971, the Beaverlodge Lions Club is a leading community
and world organization. It has always been the purpose of our club to provide services to our community, and it is our obligation
to return ALL monies received from the public BACK to the community.
The Lions network includes nearly 1.4 million Lions members in 202 countries and geographic areas and
answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.
Lions are recognized worldwide for their
service to the blind and visually impaired. In addition to their
international SightFirst program, Lions extend their commitment to sight conservation through countless local efforts. Lions
are also involved in a variety of other activities to improve their communities and help people in need. Lions improve the
quality of life in their local communities by building parks & playgrounds, supporting community endeavours, diabetes
education, drug awareness and also providing young people within the community opportunities for achievement, learning, contribution
and service, individually and collectively, through sponsorship of activities in the field of youth development. Lions come
from all walks of life, united in upholding common values and committed to improving the lives of those less fortunate.
